Privacy Policy

Effective August 31, 2026

Scope

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Today in Palm Beach Gardens, a Today in Network publication, including this website, its newsletters, and the Facebook Page tools we use to receive and respond to community interactions. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Today in Network.

Information

Information we collect

When you subscribe, we collect your email address and may collect interests, signup location, referral and campaign information, the page where you signed up, browser information, and subscription status and timestamps. We also record email delivery, processing, and unsubscribe events.

When you use the site, our hosting and measurement tools may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, referring page, pages viewed, and actions taken. The site uses Plausible Analytics and Meta measurement tools. Meta tools may use the _fbp and _fbc cookies and may receive a hashed version of a subscriber email address, IP address, browser information, campaign details, and a subscription event.

If you comment on or message a Facebook Page we administer, Meta may send us your Facebook identifier and display name, the text of your comment or message, related post or object identifiers, timestamps, and the webhook data needed to process the interaction. We may classify the interaction and keep a history of prior interactions so an editor can prepare and review an appropriate response.

If you email us, we receive the information you include in that message.

Use

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the site, manage subscriptions and unsubscribes, send newsletters and service messages, understand how readers find and use our publications, measure subscription campaigns, respond to tips and corrections, and review Facebook comments and messages before responding. We may also use information to prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, enforce our rights, and comply with law.

Providers

Where information is processed

We use service providers to run these functions. They currently include Vercel for website hosting and request handling, Supabase for database storage, Resend for email delivery, Plausible for website measurement, and Meta for Facebook Pages, Pixel, and Conversions API services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people, our services, or our rights.

Storage

Cookies, local storage, retention, and security

Meta measurement tools may set or read cookies. The site also uses local browser storage to remember whether you dismissed the subscription bar. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although some measurement features may stop working.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the uses described above, including maintaining subscription and unsubscribe records, handling community interactions, preventing abuse, and meeting legal or operational requirements. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Choices

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe through the link in any newsletter. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete information we control, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. For information received from Facebook, follow our data deletion instructions.

Send privacy requests to editor@todayinpalmbeachgardens.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date above.
