The Palm lands a $118.6 million construction loan

Gatsby Florida has secured a $118.6 million construction loan for The Palm, a speculative office project at 11200 RCA Center Drive. Cirrus Real Estate Partners provided the three-year, floating-rate, interest-only loan, and Berkadia arranged the financing.
Plans call for an eight-story building with about 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and an 838-space parking garage. Amenities are planned to include a rooftop terrace, conference facilities, a fitness center and electric-vehicle charging stations.
No tenants had signed leases when the financing closed. Construction is scheduled to begin in September, with completion targeted for 2028. The Palm would become Gatsby Florida's second asset in the city, joining the fully leased DiVosta Towers office campus.
H&H Bagels is now open at Avenir Town Center
H&H Bagels is open at 12465 Northlake Boulevard in Avenir Town Center. The shop opened August 17 as the New York brand's third Palm Beach County location, after Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.
Its bagel lineup includes plain, everything, sesame, cinnamon raisin, jalapeño cheddar, whole wheat, egg and pumpernickel. Cream-cheese choices include scallion, spicy scallion, vegetable and strawberry, while the broader menu includes breakfast sandwiches, Nova salmon and lunch sandwiches.
The dough is proofed and kettle-boiled with New York City water before shipment to Florida, then baked fresh on site. H&H began on Manhattan's Upper West Side in 1972.
J.Crew is coming soon to The Gardens Mall
J.Crew is coming soon to The Gardens Mall at 3101 PGA Boulevard. The returning store will sit on the lower level near Saks Fifth Avenue. No opening date has been announced.
The two-level mall has more than 160 retailers. Its department-store anchors are Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Macy's. J.Crew sells apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children.
Splash pad and main pool open four hours Sunday

The Aquatic Complex's splash pad and main pool will be open Sunday, September 6, from noon to 4 p.m. Both facilities share that four-hour window at 4404 Burns Road.
Resident photo entries close September 18

The city's 2026 Resident Photography Contest is accepting entries through September 18. It is open to Palm Beach Gardens residents and students who attend school in the city. Eligible photos must have been taken inside city limits between September 2025 and September 2026.
The iGardens category is reserved for cellphone photography. Beauty Abounds covers nature and landscapes; Digital Manipulation is for artistic edits and effects; People & PBG calls for unposed, candid images of people around the city; and the new America 250 category focuses on American pride in Palm Beach Gardens.
Finalists will be unveiled at a City Hall reception on Monday, October 19, at 6 p.m.
Council sets two September budget hearings

Palm Beach Gardens City Council will hold budget hearings on Thursday, September 10, and Thursday, September 24. Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 10500 N. Military Trail. Residents may attend in person or watch through the city's livestream.
The September 10 agenda is scheduled for release Thursday, September 3. The September 24 agenda is scheduled for Thursday, September 17. City administrative offices will also close for Labor Day on Monday, September 7, then reopen Tuesday, September 8, at 8 a.m. Garbage and recycling collection will continue without interruption.
