The Eissey Campus Theatre is closed for sprinkler repairs
A sprinkler failure closes the Eissey Campus Theatre, three restaurants shut their doors, and the Aquatic Complex trims its hours at month's end.
The Eissey Campus Theatre is temporarily closed after damage to its fire sprinkler system. Palm Beach State College says ticket holders have been notified. Groups with events on the schedule were also contacted. Events are being moved to other spaces or set for new dates when possible. No reopening date has been announced. The repairs must be finished before the theatre can reopen. Anyone holding tickets for a coming event should use the notice from the college or event organizer to confirm whether the show has moved or changed dates. Single tickets for the theatre's 2027 season are scheduled to go on sale Sept. 8. The announced lineup starts Jan. 6 with Voices of Rock, followed by From Brooklyn to Broadway on Jan. 20, Get Down On It on Feb. 8, Elements on Feb. 17 and Go Now! The Music of The Moody Blues on March 4. The box office is at 11051 Campus Drive and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its phone number is 561-207-5900. The college also warns buyers to use only its official box office because unauthorized resale sites may charge more or sell invalid tickets.
Asian Fin, Prezzo and Grande's Bella Cucina have closed
Three Palm Beach Gardens restaurants closed in 2026: Asian Fin, Prezzo and Grande's Bella Cucina. The closings cover three different dining rooms in the city, according to a USA Today video published Aug. 19. The report confirms the names and that all three have shut their doors. Diners who had any of them in the regular rotation should make another plan before driving over.
A Gardens nonprofit is chasing a $100,000 prize
Palm Beach Gardens nonprofit Believe With Me is competing for a $100,000 donation through the NASCAR Foundation's Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award. Founder and CEO Lyette Reback is one of four national finalists. The public may vote once a day through Sept. 6. Believe With Me provides Christmas gifts and year-round programs for Gold Star families. Its 2026 Christmas program expects to serve about 3,000 children. The nonprofit says it has served more than 15,000 Gold Star children since 2015. Reback said the award could fund gifts for 1,000 children, and WPTV reports that the donation would cover about one-third of the annual Christmas program's cost.
The city published its 2026 community survey results
Palm Beach Gardens has posted the results of its 2026 community survey. The city runs the survey every three years, and surveys went to randomly selected households in spring. Of the responding households, 99% were full-time residents, 93% would recommend living in Palm Beach Gardens and 82% were satisfied with city services. Public safety, neighborhood character and quality businesses were the top reasons people gave for staying. Residents most wanted more streetscapes, better mobility links and more access to restaurants and entertainment. The city says 84% were satisfied with the value of services funded by property taxes. If more revenue is needed, 91% preferred user fees to a property-tax increase.
The pool and splash pad have shorter hours Aug. 30
The Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex will use shorter hours on Sunday, Aug. 30. The splash pad and main pool will be open from noon to 4 p.m. The complex is at 4404 Burns Road. Families planning a swim that Sunday have a four-hour window, so the usual summer schedule will not apply.
The Aquatic Complex opens for two hours Sept. 1
The Aquatic Complex also has an adjusted schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The facility will open at 10 a.m. and close at noon. The two-hour window applies at 4404 Burns Road. Anyone planning laps, lessons or family pool time that morning should plan around the noon closing.
