A Palm Beach Gardens homeowners association wants to remove up to 600 mature live oak trees, and the neighborhood is divided over whether that should happen. The plan covers hundreds of established live oaks inside a single Palm Beach Gardens community, all under one association's decision. Residents say they heard about the removals through the rumor mill rather than through a clear announcement, and that is now part of the dispute itself: neighbors are arguing both over whether the trees should come down and over how the plan reached them in the first place. Sandhill Crane Golf Club will be closed Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14 for routine maintenance work and course care.
